When a non-profit in the climate change communications business was launching a new entity serving the water community, the leadership turned to Chaloner for help. We have a deep past with this NGO, having placed their first Executive Director in 2009 and have managed recruitment for over 15 staff members since then. ClimateNexus hired Chaloner to recruit a strong Managing Director to lead and build The Water Hub.
For the new entity, we were tasked with finding a candidate with deep ties in the “water issues of the West” space along with a rich background building and managing diverse teams. Through our network and experience, Chaloner presented a truly representative talent pool, sharing a slate of candidates with deep climate change and water experience. With our strong key referral resources and connections, access to influencers, list serves and proprietary database, we were able to not only produce a very strong group of candidates, but also valuable intel into the field. After a thorough process that narrowed the pool of ten to two finalists, the selection was confirmed and a hire was made.
